Initial Intake
- Non-Directive Approach.
- Self-Managed or Plan-Managed (NDIS).
- Multiple Location across Metropolitan Adelaide.
- Some Concessions may be available including Private Health rebates.
- Weekly Sessions and Parent Reviews are an important part of the effectiveness of Child Centered Play Therapy.
- Sessions only run during school terms.
- Additional travel charges may apply for outreach sessions.
- A 1 hour appointment = 45 minute session + 15 minutes clinical administration and reset after your child has left the session.
- Initial Parent Intake sessions are 90 minutes
- Progress Reports can be requested for an additional fee.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please give Nest Counselling and Consultation a minimum of 48 hours notice if you or your child cannot make a scheduled appointment.
If the notice is not provided within this timeframe, Nest Counselling and Consultation’s cancellation policy will apply.
Sessions cancelled within less that 48 hours will be charged at 90% the full rate.
How many people can participate in Group Supervision
Group Supervision is capped at 6 people to ensure it is a beneficial learning experience for all the supervisees
Can Supervision be in-person?
Supervision is usually facilitated online by Zoom, a link will be sent once an appointment time has been arranged.
In-person Supervision can be arranged by negotiation for Adelaide supervisees in the metropolitan area.
Do I Need To Stay When My Child Is In The Play Therapy Session?
Yes, it is important that your child knows that you are nearby and they can check in with you if they need.
Do I need to attend every Circle of Security Session?
Each week of Circle of Security builds on the concepts so it is important to attend all 8 weeks of the parenting program. A certificate of attendance will only be provided for those who have completed the program in its entirety.
How long does an NMT Assessment take?
Up to four face to face home visits or online meetings are required during the information gathering stage. The finalised NMT Metric will be delivered in one follow up session to provide the NMT findings and recommendations in person to the relevant stakeholders
How Can I Know The Progress My Child Is Making In Play Therapy?
We can schedule parent reviews to discuss how your child is progressing through the various stages of Play Therapy. Confidentiality is a key element to the therapeutic process and a crucial component is a child feeling fully free to express themselves during the sessions. Whilst I cannot share the specifics of the play, I can share with you the themes that are emerging during the sessions. There are specific stages that children work through in Play Therapy and we can talk about my observations relating to each stage during our review.
Can I get a report for Family Court?
Nest Counselling and Consultation does not provide court reports
